In Lucknow, Priyanka Maurya, a member of the State Women Commission, received a prank call from unidentified individuals who requested her personal information. She has reported the incident to the police station in Krishnanagar. In her complaint, she stated that the callers pretended to be the personal assistants of the chief minister's principal secretary and the Unnao District Magistrate. She believes that the opposition is attempting to damage her reputation through these misleading calls. A case has been filed based on her report. The first call was received on September 9 at her home in LDA Colony on Kanpur Road, where the caller claimed to be the PA to the DM of Unnao and requested personal details. A similar call was received on September 30, wherein the caller identified themselves as the PA to the chief minister's principal secretary and once again sought personal information, suggesting a significant responsibility awaited her. Recognizing the severity of the situation, Priyanka lodged a police report at Krishnanagar station. DCP South Zone, Keshav Kumar, confirmed the registration of an FIR and an ongoing investigation into the matter.
